Personalization if possible is always a great idea and this tip is right on the money. In addition to personalization, here are five additional ideas to help ensure the message you send individuals will be appealing. The steps are listed below, and you can read more about how to implement them by clicking on the following link: http://www.launch-marketing.com/company/articles.aspx

A: Align Messaging and Offers – (Know your target and appeal to their needs and wants)

B: Be Creative – (Grab your reader’s attention with an engaging subject line)

C: Create Urgency – (Identify reasons in the message that your target should act now)

D: Deliver Value – (Ensure your reader's experience is worth the time)

E: Ensure Understanding – (Make your call-to-action easy to understand and act on)

That is so true!
At fkey solutions we give a lot of attention to the email personalization
The E-mail distributor has a special feature that will let you generate personalized email to your customers
We call it the Macro Panel.
This panel contains list of standard and user-defined macros.

Macros are like variables that will be stored in the recipient database. Each macro will be stored separately for each recipient and will be substituted in the message in the place you specify. There are standard macros (these are supplied with the program, and cannot be deleted) and macros that can be created by the user.

Each macro field has a name, a Macro Name (this is the name that should be used in the message for substitution) and a default value (this value can be supplied here and in case there is no value in the database for that particular field, it will be supplied instead)

You can define as many macros as you want here and they will act as global constants. For example you might want to create a Signature macro here and then use it in all your messages. If for any reason you decide to change the signature, you can do it here, instead of opening each message and editing it separately.

The predefined macros that are coming with a program are stored in the recipient database and can be edited separately on the recipient dialog

Thanks for the tip :)
