Earlier this month I shared with you the knowledge that Facebook was planning a way for bloggers and other content marketers to embed Facebook posts. Now that’s possible. I’ve seen a few of the Embed Post notices on some of the posts where that option is available.
If you want to embed a Facebook post on your blog or website, here’s what you’ve got to do:
- Click on the downpointing arrow in the top right corner of the Facebook post you want to embed.
- Look for the “Embed Post” option.
- Click “Embed Post.”
- Copy the embed code in the pop-up box.
- Paste the embed code in your blog’s Write Post box.
It’s a pretty simple process to complete. Not all Facebook posts are embeddable, but many are. The best that I can tell, the posts that are embeddable are posts from Facebook pages, not posts from individuals. That actually makes a lot of sense because most individuals would probably not want their posts embedded all over the Web, and most of them are not embed-worthy.
If you are a content creator and you do not have a Facebook page, this is another reason why you should have have one. Wouldn’t you like to see your Facebook posts embedded?
